Job summary

Princeton Transitional Care & Assisted Living seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with activities of daily living and compassionate care. You will work under licensed nursing staff to maintain a safe, respectful environment and uphold high care standards.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state where facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently and work with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs within scope of practice as defined by state and resident plans of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, I&O, and food intake.
• Routinely turn and position residents.
• Respect resident rights and choices within care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist residents.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference
