Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join Princeton Transitional Care & Assisted Living. CNAs will provide direct care, assist residents with daily living activities, and help maintain a compassionate living environment.

You will record vitals, assist with transfers, and support staff training as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and adaptability within a busy nursing home setting.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing Assistant certification from the state of employment.
• Effective verbal communication and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a nursing team under licensed staff.
• Customer service orientation with ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible, approachable, and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living per resident plans.
• Record vital signs, intake/outtake, and other measurements.
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and housekeeping to maintain care environments.
• Support orientation and training of staff and participate in special projects.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident's plan of care.


• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.


• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.


• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.


• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.


• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.


• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.


• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.


• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.


• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.


• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.


• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.


• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
