Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) at our Cedarhurst of Jacksonville community. We are currently hiring for part-time positions for the weekend and during the week!
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs which enable the resident to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health, and to participate in the activities of the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with personal care needs such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
- Responding to signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents' needs.
- Measuring and recording vital signs and food and fluid intake/output.
- Transporting and assisting residents with walking, turning, or repositioning.
- Changing bed linens, running errands, and assisting with housekeeping and laundry.
- Assisting residents during meals and encouraging participation in activities.
- Monitoring residents' well-being and reporting observations to the care team.
- Promoting residents' physical, personal, and emotional well-being and supporting their independence.
- Understanding and respecting residents' Advance Directives.
- Communicating effectively with residents' families about their care.
- Collaborating with team members and taking initiative in conflict resolution.
- Performing physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 pounds independently, up to 200 with assistance).
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of an accredited CNA program preferred.
- One year of CNA experience preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR systems.
- Dependability and flexibility with scheduling.
- Knowledge of senior living care laws and levels of care.
