Job summary

Regency Hermiston is seeking a CNA to provide quality nursing care and uphold resident rights and dignity. You will help residents maintain their highest practical well-being and support individualized care plans in a respectful, compassionate environment.

The role emphasizes attentive personal care, safety, and teamwork with the clinical staff to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CNA certification in the state of employment (Oregon).
• Ability to meet CPR/BLS requirements or maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide information to the care planning staff.
• Attend to residents’ needs including grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Maintain skin integrity by turning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents’ personal belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs, monitor weights, apply creams, collect specimens, lift/move residents safely.
• Document care per department policies.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
