Qualifications

  • Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age
  • Provide morning care including bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing linens, cleaning over bed table and bedside stand, and general care throughout the day
  • Provide evening care including face/hand washing, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, cleaning over bed tables, and general care as needed
  • Prepare patients for meals; serve and remove food trays; assist with feeding if necessary
  • Answer patient call lights, anticipate needs, and make rounds to assigned patients
  • Assist patients with personal property such as dentures, glasses, hearing aids, etc.
  • Report and record changes in patient condition or behavior and any incidents
  • Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Completion of course for nursing assistants
  • Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
  • CPR/BCLS Certification
  • Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
