Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Eugene, OR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care with a strong focus on work-life balance. You decide when you work and you’ll help seniors and others in their homes.

This role requires an active Oregon CNA certification, CPR, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. You’ll perform daily activities, monitor vitals, document changes, and notify supervisors of care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Oregon.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate nature and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and others in clients' homes.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM exercises.
• Check vitals, document changes and monitor health status.
• Notify supervisor of care or equipment changes.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Certified Nursing Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Oregon
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
