Avir at Eagle Pass is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our evening shift team in Eagle Pass, Texas. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help with transfers while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications include Texas Nurse Aide Registry eligibility or active certification within four months of hire, and the ability to work independently and calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry, or become certified within four months of hire.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
• Patience, tact, and a positive attitude with residents, families, and staff.
• Comfort working with residents who are ill, disabled, elderly, or at times upset.
• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and safely assist with resident transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and more
• Provide toileting assistance and turn and reposition residents as needed
• Answer call lights promptly and courteously to determine resident needs
• Assist residents with walking and transportation, using a gait belt for all transfers and ambulation
• Monitor vital signs, weights, and intake and output as directed
• Provide catheter care as required
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
