Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a travel assignment in Denver, CO. You will perform direct patient care under the supervision of a RN or LPN, and assist with personal needs and comforts in an inpatient psych setting.

This 13- or 24-week contract offers rotating 36/48 hour schedules, a 40-hour orientation, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits. Start dates on the 1st or 3rd week of each month (except July/December).

Qualifications

• One year experience as Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant per client/state requirements.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical functions.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB test/Chest X-ray per contract or state regulation.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional.

The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.

Local Pay: $32/hr

Travel Pay: $1,420 gross weekly for 36 hours

$1,860 gross weekly for 48 hours

Setting: Psych Hospital

Location: Denver, CO

Hours: 36/48 hour rotating schedule

Orientation is 40 hours for the first 2 weeks on day shift

Notes: must have 1 year of inpatient psych experience

Start: 1st and 3rd week of every month with the exception of July and December only having one start date

Contract Length: 13 or 24 weeks

Minimum Requirements

• One year experience as a nursing assistant preferred

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant per client/state requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
