Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for our Colonial Rehab & Wellness Center in Bardstown, KY. You will provide direct resident care under licensed supervision, supporting daily living activities and promoting a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, charting, transfers, and aiding in training new staff. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a family-based healthcare company.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team.
• Customer service oriented and able to handle pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) per resident plans of care.
• Change bed linens and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other data.
• Routinely turn and position residents; monitor comfort and safety.
• Support resident rights and maintain care environment standards.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Participate in special projects and duties as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
