Job Description:

Scope: Performs various patient care activities to assist in the preparation and direct care of infusion patients as directed by the Charge Nurse.

Functions:

1. Take and record vital signs.
2. Assist and prepare chairs for incoming patients.
3. Monitor patient issues and concerns; report to RN/Charge RN.
4. Perform duties as assigned by Charge RN.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by the State Board of Nursing Examiners required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience required; oncology experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills, ability to think independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative.
