  The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing various resident care activities and related duties to meet the specific needs and comfort of residents. They take direction from RNs and LPNs to carry out care plans and comply with federal, state, and local long-term care regulations. Certified Nurse Aides provide care based on resident assessments and the plan of care. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary:

The CNA assists nurses (RN and LPN) in providing activities of daily living.

Main Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Care for multiple residents in the facility.
• Observe Resident Rights.
• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist nurses with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
• Assist nurses in administering treatments and examining residents.
• Assist with restorative and rehab care under proper instruction and supervision.
• Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

Required Education and Experience:

• Current and valid CNA license in the state of practice and employment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
