Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care to our Veterans. You will work with a dedicated team to follow individualized care plans, monitor health, assist with daily activities, and ensure dignity and comfort.

As part of our Missouri Veterans Home staff, you’ll document vitals and observations, communicate with nursing staff, and support mobility and personal care while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid certified nursing assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Veteran care according to individualized care plans.
• Document vitals, heights, weights and observations for nursing staff.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, mobility, and other care tasks as required.
• Support Veterans with mobility and range-of-motion activities as directed.
• Work overtime as needed.

Hourly Pay:

• $18.35 - $18.69 day shift
• $20.35 - $20.69 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document specific information to nursing staff regarding information and observations of the Veterans’ needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans which may include but is not limited to assistance with grooming, bathing/showering, oral hygiene, delivery and set up of food trays, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, repositioning, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, skin care, or other needs in keeping with the individual’s care requirements.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk and stand extensively as well as stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.
