Job summary

Freedom Village Bradenton is seeking a Certified Nurse’s Aide to support licensed nursing staff with routine daily living activities for residents in a senior living environment.

Shifts available are 3p-11p and 11p-7a. Successful candidates will have a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant program and CPR/BLS certification, with opportunities for FT/PT roles and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Registration with State registry is required.
• CPR/BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Certified Nurse’s Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

• Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registration with State registry (required)
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• CPR/BLS Certification
