Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver (CNA/GNA) to provide in-home care across communities in Glen Burnie, Annapolis and surrounding areas.

You will support seniors with daily activities, monitor health and follow individualized care plans in a home setting. We offer weekly pay, performance bonuses, and opportunities for online training, CEUs, and tuition discounts to pursue further education.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Maryland CNA license.
• CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Compassionate and good communicator, with dependable reliability.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and individuals in home settings.
• Assist with daily activities (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion as needed.
• Check vitals, monitor changes, and document in care records; escalate to supervisor as required.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow the patient care plan.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, here's a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• CPR and BLS certifications
• Valid Maryland driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
