Provides patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by the Charge Nurse, following established departmental guidelines. Documents appropriately into patient records based on skill level and standards. Completes admission procedures such as recording height, weight, vital signs, and orienting new residents. Ensures residents receive identification bands and admission kits. Responds promptly to call lights and resident needs. Performs rounds, repositions residents regularly, and takes vital signs and weights accurately, reporting findings to the Charge Nurse. Applies appropriate devices and performs treatments as instructed. Maintains supplies and equipment, and reports needs to the Charge Nurse or purchasing staff. Completes job duties by attending continuing education and in-services, accepting reassignments, and updating the Charge Nurse. Maintains effective working relationships and handles confidential information discreetly. Provides shift reports and participates in rounds. May be assigned additional duties as needed.
