Munson Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care in a northern Michigan healthcare setting. You will support nurses and care for residents, aiding with daily living activities and mobility while following care plans and safety policies.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable documentation, and proactive communication with supervisors. Active CNA credential and CPR/BLS are required, with vaccination or immunity as per policy.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• CNA in good standing with the State of Michigan, or completion of a State-approved training program one (1) month of hire and certification acquired within 4 months of hire as required by the state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Must have no disciplinary action in effect against certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurses and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living per care plans and policies.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Coordinates dining room services at mealtimes, including setup, delivery, and documentation of intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and documents intake.
• Tracks residents' weight and reports changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports issues to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets and documents progress daily as directed by supervisor.
• Notifies nurse/supervisor of changes affecting ability to perform tasks.
