Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - $6,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid throughout the first year of employment).

Starting rate: $19 per hour.

Lutheran SeniorLife offers a comprehensive range of community-based health and social services across western Pennsylvania, including LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly), skilled nursing, home health, personal care, adoption & foster care, assisted living, adult day services, memory care, hospice, palliative care, residential living, affordable housing, home safety monitoring, Meals on Wheels, rehabilitation services, and private duty.

LIFE Program

The LIFE program serves residents in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence Counties. It provides an all-inclusive, person-centered approach to help individuals maintain independence at home and in the community, offering services from medical care to adult day supports, with the goal of enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Responsibilities

The C.N.A. performs basic duties to assist participants, supporting their independence and ensuring satisfaction. This includes helping with mobility exercises, transfers, toileting, incontinence care, feeding, showering, transportation, and socialization. Knowledge of the LIFE program's mission and core values, along with teamwork, are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Certification, listed on the registry without allegations
• At least 1 year of experience with the frail or elderly
• Dependable transportation and valid driver's license
