Job summary

Park Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking caring CNAs to join our team for 3pm-11pm full-time and part-time shifts. You will perform direct resident care under supervision, help with daily living activities, and support a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Florida.
• Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
• At least one year Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professionalism with confidentiality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) of residents daily and as needed.
• Change bed linen and maintain supplies in resident rooms.
• Assist in transferring residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption as assigned.
• Turn and position residents; monitor environment for ventilation, temperature, light and noise control.
• Observe residents and report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Assist in data collection for MDS and care plans; provide input to nurses.
• Ensure adequate hydration and assist during meals; transport to dining area when needed.
• Keep accurate records of food intake and output.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with other needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of staff.

Summary for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistant

• Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.

• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.

• Abulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.

• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.

• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.

• Observe residents carefully and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse.

• Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care. Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.

• Provide adequate hydration to residents at regular intervals each day according to specific resident needs.

• Prepare residents for each meal and transport to dining room (unless a bed patient) making sure that food tray is accessible, self-help devices are available (if needed), and assistance is provided to those residents who cannot feed themselves.

• Keep an accurate record of food intake and output, as directed.

• Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light and noise control.

• Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.

• Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.

• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.

Requirements/Qualifications of Certified Nursing Assistant:

• Current Nursing Assistant certification from state of Florida.

• Current/active CPR certification, preferred.

• At least one (1) year Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.

• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
