Job summary

Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a multidisciplinary team under nurse supervision. You will assist with admissions triage, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, recovery-oriented environment for clients seeking behavioral health services.

You will perform toxicology screenings, ensure universal precautions, and support meal service while upholding compassionate, nonjudgmental care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; CNA certification required.
BLS certification required.
Food handler permit required or can be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist nursing staff with day-to-day admissions processing in triage.
Monitor vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respiration) with appropriate boundaries.
Perform Urine Toxicology screenings and urine pregnancy tests.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas and use universal precautions.
Report staffing or client needs to nursing staff.
Attend meetings and participate in in-service training.
Assist with meal and snack service.
Wipe surfaces with sanitizing wipes and change bedding in client rooms.
