Job summary

Caring Hospice seeks a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to visit patients across assigned locations, delivering personal care in line with each patient’s plan. You’ll work under a registered nurse and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain comfort and dignity.

Ideal candidates have MA CNA certification and at least 1 year in home health or hospice, plus reliable transportation for on-the-road visits. This is a full-time role with benefits and a $3,000 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved CNA training program.
• CNA certification in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time direct client care in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist patients with daily activities.
• Follow each patient’s Home Health Aide care plan and perform delegated tasks.
• Assist with bathing, showers, and mobility to support comfort.
• Support hygiene and daily living activities with kindness and dignity.
• Report changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.

As a Hospice Aide, you’ll provide personal care and help patients with daily activities, bringing comfort and dignity to each visit. Working under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and as part of our interdisciplinary team, you’ll have an important role in supporting our hospice patients.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Provide thoughtful, individualized care by carrying out assigned tasks and following each patient’s Home Health Aide care plan.
• Perform delegated care tasks as instructed by the registered nurse.
• Help patients feel comfortable and refreshed through bathing, showers, and partial baths, as appropriate.
• Support personal hygiene and all activities of daily living with kindness and respect for each patient’s dignity.
• Report changes in each patient’s condition to the supervising registered nurse to support coordinated care.

What You’ll Bring:

• Completion of an approved CNA training program.
• CNA certification in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a home health or hospice setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility).
• A compassionate approach to caring for people who are ill; the ability to read, write, and follow directions; maturity; and the ability to manage the demands of the role effectively.
• A reliable automobile, a valid driver’s license, and auto liability insurance that meets state minimum requirements, all maintained throughout employment.
