Job summary

Bronson Commons, located in Mattawan, MI, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the 2nd shift. The role includes patient assistance with ADLs, vital signs, and EMR documentation, with opportunities for sign-on bonuses for full- and part-time positions.

Successful candidates will hold a High School diploma or GED, Michigan CNA registration or approved training, and BLS within 6 months. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan CNA Registry or completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program with certification within 4 months of hire.
• Obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review care plans with nurses at the start of each shift.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, bathing, and dressing.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Record vital signs and patient information.
• Turn and reposition residents for pressure relief.
• Communicate resident status and interventions to nursing staff.
• Provide customer service to visitors.
• Serve meals and assist residents with feeding.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and change linens as needed.
• Document patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
