Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation Nursing, a 160-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Beacon, NY, seeks enthusiastic and energetic CNAs for all shifts to join our professional staff. We are looking for individuals who desire a worthwhile career that has purpose and makes a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Under supervised professional and skilled guidance, CNAs give direct nursing care to residents and perform other services necessary for their personal and comfort needs.

Qualifications

• Requires NY CNA Certification.
• Prior skilled nursing experience is a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident hygiene and comfort.
• Distributes food/water and feeds residents.
• Assists with repositioning and transferring residents.
• Ambulates and transports residents.
• Records and totals fluid intake and output.
• Weighs residents.
• Documents on flow sheets.
• Assists with admission, discharge and postmortem care.
• Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
• Performs perineal care and uncomplicated colostomy care.
• Reports all observations & assessments to the Team Leader/Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Makes beds and keeps resident’s units clean and in order.
• Prepares room for housekeeping after resident discharge.

All new full time CNA hires in the nursing department will get a sign on bonus of $1200.00 (paid in quarterly installments upon successful completion of initial 90 day probationary period);
