POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of Residents, maintaining a home-like environment.
• Receive and give shift reports.
• Review assignments with the Designated Supervisor.
• Read staff communication records and familiarize with Resident records as required.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), environmental orientation, and other care, encouraging self-care and independence.
• Provide services as indicated on Resident service plans, including bathing, toileting, transfer, and mobility assistance.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Observe and communicate changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Record Resident information accurately.
• Follow procedures for fire, safety, disaster, security, and emergency situations.
• Notify nurses or designated agents of Resident status or changes as appropriate.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :

Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program with a current license. 18-24 months of experience in a similar role preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is also preferred.

EDUCATION :

Attend mandatory in-service training. Maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Complete in-service training hours required for the role.
