Job description

To provide routine nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients / residents requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must hold a current CNA or LNA state Certification and must maintain Certification / License renewal in accordance with the standards of the regulatory agency;
• Prior experience in healthcare preferred;
• Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email; Preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English;
• BLS certification through American Heart Association;

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provides general aspects of patient / resident care that meet psychosocial or physical needs or both simultaneously, within the CNA’s scope of practice to include but not be limited to: feeding, bathing, and dressing patients / residents; assisting with toileting; taking vital signs; serving meals; making beds; keeping rooms tidy; setting up medical equipment and assisting with procedures; answering call lights for help; and observing and reporting changes in a patient / resident condition or behavior;
• Meets current documentation standards and completes within shift;
• Practices established infection control procedures;
• Basic computer skills as evidenced by knowledge of Internet and Email;
• Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information;
• Works ethically and demonstrates good customer service;
• Arrives promptly, regularly, and reliably for assigned work schedule;
• Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
