Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join Mount Olive Correctional Complex in Mount Olive, WV. This full-time day shift provides essential patient care under nursing supervision.

You will assist with ADLs, take vital signs, support mobility, document in the EMR, and offer compassionate care to justice-involved patients in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA certification program required.
• Active CNA certification and CPR certification required.
• Experience in correctional healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, feeding, dressing, hygiene).
• Record vital signs, height, weight, intake/output.
• Support ambulation, repositioning, ROM exercises.
• Assist with transfers and patient mobility.
• Provide emotional support and respond to call lights.
• Cleanse and maintain patient areas and equipment.
• Assist physicians or nurses during minor procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and manage supply inventory.
• Encourage hydration and elimination as part of daily care.
• Document care activities in the EMR.

POSITION: Certified Nursing Assistant

SCHEDULE: Full-time DAYSHIFT- 4 x 10 hour days per week, 8am-6pm

FACILITY: Mount Olive Correctional Complex

LOCATION: Mount Olive, WV 25185

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our facility, you'll support nursing staff with essential daily operations and provide direct care that ensures patient well-being. Working under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and hygiene
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake, and output
• Supporting ambulation, repositioning, and range of motion activities
• Assisting with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility
• Providing emotional support and responding promptly to call lights
• Cleansing and maintaining patient areas, workrooms, and equipment
• Assisting physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining supply inventory
• Encouraging hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care
• Documenting care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
