The position is full-time day shift (8am-6pm) with 4x10 hour days, and requires a CNA certification, CPR, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach to care. Experience in healthcare or corrections is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant certification program.
• Current CNA certification and CPR certification required.
• Previous correctional healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing, hygiene).
• Record vital signs, height, weight, and intake/output.
• Support mobility, transfers, and range of motion activities.
• Assist with clinical procedures under supervision.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Document care activities in the electronic medical record.

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our facility, you’ll support nursing staff with essential daily operations and provide direct care that ensures patient well-being. Working under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and hygiene
• Obtaining and recording vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake, and output
• Supporting ambulation, repositioning, and range of motion activities
• Assisting with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility
• Providing emotional support and responding promptly to call lights
• Cleansing and maintaining patient areas, workrooms, and equipment
• Assisting physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining supply inventory
• Encouraging hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care
• Documenting care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system
