Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support daily operations at The Penitentiary in Santa Fe, NM. You will assist nursing staff with essential care and document activities in the EMR system, working under the Director of Nursing.

You'll provide compassionate direct care, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, and ensure patient comfort. Opportunities include day, evening, and night shifts in a correctional healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant certification program required.
• Current CNA certification and CPR certification required.
• Previous CNA experience preferred, especially in correctional healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing, hygiene).
• Record vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake and output.
• Support ambulation, repositioning and range of motion activities.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility.
• Provide emotional support and promptly respond to call lights.
• Cleansing and maintaining patient areas, workrooms, and equipment.
• Assist physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supply inventory.
• Encourage hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care.
• Document care activities accurately in the EMR system.

Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our facility, you'll support nursing staff with essential daily operations and provide direct care that ensures patient well‑being. Working under the clinical supervision of the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include:
