Job summary

Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care MO is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Lee's Summit, MO. Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. Provides or assists in daily living activities, hygiene, grooming, and mobility under the supervision of the Hospice Nurse.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a State Certified CNA license. Willing to travel; valid driver''s license and reliable transportation. Hospice or home health experience preferred, though not required.

• Experience in hospice or home health, preferred.
• No experience necessary but 1 year, preferred.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have a valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Assists with toileting, positioning and transfer activities; frequent turning.
• Assists with prescribed exercise and ROM activities.
• Light housekeeping of unit/room, bed linen changes, patient laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Obtains vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations) as supervised.
• Reports changes to the Hospice Nurse and documents on required form.
• Assists or reminds patient to take medications per regulations.

Now Hiring - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Lee's Summit, MO

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM

• Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.
• Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.
• Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information.
• Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
