Job summary

Energy Employee Home Health Services, LLC in Kennewick is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA) to provide one-on-one home care. Flexible part-time hours, weekend options, and weekly pay.

As a CNA you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor safety, and communicate with the nurse to ensure dignified, professional care for clients in the energy community.

Qualifications

• Current NAC license in accordance with Washington state regulations.
• Understand dementia related behaviors, effective communication techniques, person centered care, and strategies for managing confusion, agitation and memory loss.
• Strong interpersonal and observations skills. Demonstrate patience, compassion, reliability and the ability to recognize and report changes promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility while promoting dignity, comfort and independence.
• Ensure safety and supervision - monitor for wandering, falls, confusion and other safety risks; report changes to the nurse.
• Support communication and emotional well being; build trust with the client and family.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate personal care.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, eating, and mobility while promoting dignity comfort and independence.
• Ensure safety and supervision - monitor for wandering falls confusion and other safety risks. Maintain a calm structured environment and promptly report any changes in condition to the nurse.
• Support communication and emotional well being. Use patience, reassurance and simple clear communication to reduce anxiety, encourage engagement in meaningful activities. Build trust with the client and family.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Current NAC license in accordance with Washington state regulations.
• Understand dementia related behaviors, effective communication techniques, person centered care, and strategies for managing confusion, agitation and memory loss.
• Strong interpersonal and observations skills. Demonstrate patience compassion reliability and the ability to recognize and report changes in physical condition, cognition or behavior promptly.
• Current CPR / First Aid.
