Job summary

Westminster Woods on Julington Creek in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in our Health Center. Full-time, 7a-3p, every other weekend; CNAs provide routine daily nursing care, maintain residents' dignity, and follow care procedures under supervision.

Requirements include active Florida CNA license, one year of long-term care or related experience, and active CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA license required.
• Minimum 1 year in long-term care or with disabled adults.
• Active CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting).
• Maintain hygiene; ensure beds are made and rooms clean.
• Serve meals on time and assist with feeding as needed.
• Take vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and control measures per regulations.
• Document in CNA ECS flowsheet promptly and accurately.
• Conduct rounds to ensure safety and equipment readiness.
• Provide timely incontinent care and reposition residents.

TheCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works in our Health Center.You can earn up to $22.23 based on experience.Our CNAs provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. CNAs preserve residents’ dignity, honors resident’s rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations.

Schedule: Full-time, 7a-3p, Every Other Weekend

CNA RESPONSIBILITES:

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flowsheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure that safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents that need assistance.

CNA QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• One year of long-term care experience or working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
• Active CPR Certified.
