Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lakeview in Grand Island, NE is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility team. You will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

This Full Time position offers shifts: 6:00am-2pm, 6:00am-6pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm with every other weekend; opportunities to collaborate with nurses and physicians; competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Current CNA certification in NE required.
• Ability to lift and move residents, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Document all care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in electronic health records.
• Report changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to nursing staff or supervisor promptly.
• Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and providing companionship to residents.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure cohesive care.

Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
