PACE of Montgomery County, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide essential care and health support to senior participants. The role focuses on helping with daily living activities, mobility and safety in a community-based setting.

You will work a day shift in a full-time position, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and Day-1 benefits. Tuition reimbursement up to $4,000 annually and vendor discounts are also offered.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Maryland CNA certification.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for home care assignments.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric program preferred.
• Minimum of one year working with frail/elderly population.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email/calendar systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks up to 20 lbs.

Position Purpose

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing various care services to meet the personal needs, support, and health status of participants.

What You Will Do

• Provide personal care assistance to maintain participants' independence in activities of daily living, including toileting, showers, eating, and grooming.
• Assist participants in maintaining physical activity, exercise, and walking.
• Offer behavioral supervision or support, including reality orientation, medication reminders, dietary restrictions, and emotional reassurance.
• Assist with general activities such as conversing with participants, recreation activities, meal and snack serving, and housekeeping.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active certification as a Nurse Assistant in Maryland
• Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle required for home care assignments.
• Experience in a long-term care facility or community-based geriatric program preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population, or appropriate training from PACE organization upon hiring.
• Strong conflict management and customer service skills, adaptable to changing work priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and electronic mail/calendar systems.
• Ability to engage in physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
