Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Edison, NJ is hiring a Designated Nursing Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant (DNA/CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care supporting residents' clinical, personal, nutritional, and restorative needs in our skilled nursing community.

You’ll deliver care based on ISP, assist with ADLs, report vital signs, partner with licensed nurses, support fall prevention and infection control, maintain documentation, and respond to resident and family concerns.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification per state regulations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Skilled nursing or senior care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care based on Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, mobility, dining, and toileting.
• Obtain and report vital signs, intake, and changes in condition.
• Partner with licensed nurses on restorative and care planning programs.
• Support fall prevention, skin care, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and restorative records.
• Respond promptly to resident, family, and visitor concerns.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines at all times.
