Reports to: Keystone Administrators and Building Administrators in assigned buildings
This is a 10-month per year position (follows Easton USD #449's school schedule).
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a paraprofessional member of the nursing staff who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a student to meet personal needs and promote comfort. The CNA observes, reports, and documents student care. The assignment is made by an RN to ensure quality, continuity, and safety of care.
The CNA performs only nursing tasks permitted in the school setting for Kansas or tasks delegated by an RN.
Skills include problem-solving, data collection, effective communication, and responding to stakeholders. Knowledge encompasses understanding disabilities, human behavior, laws, and medical procedures.
Ability to schedule, gather data, operate equipment, work independently and with others, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively. Problem-solving and team collaboration are essential.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and fine motor skills. The environment is generally hazard-free with minimal temperature variation.
Type: Full-time or part-time based on student needs.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour.
