Job summary

Apple Rehab Colchester is seeking a CNA to assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, and personal care, while documenting observations per facility policy.

You will help with mobility, positioning, bed making and monitoring residents, reporting any changes promptly to the supervisor. A valid CNA certification and good standing are required, and you will work as part of a caring, team-oriented staff in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet all certification requirements.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player with patience and positive attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bathing, grooming, dental care, and dressing.

Job Description:

C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant

Assists residents in daily bathing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, dressing, walking and wheelchair use, positioning in and out of bed. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant documents personal care given according to facility policies. Provides nursing functions as directed including perineal care, making beds, turning residents, measures and records temperature, weight, pulse and respiration. C.N.A. Certified Nurse’s Assistant observes and reports to supervisor changes in residents’ condition, including any skin breakdowns. Reports immediately all accidents or injuries. Records all necessary charting entries. Answers all call lights regardless of assignment. Responds to emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications – CNA Certified Nurse’s Assistant:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing and meet all certification requirements.
• Must have no record of convicted patient/resident abuse with State Registry.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions by others.
• Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.
