Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to support Memory Care residents with personal care and daily activities. The role includes helping with hygiene, mobility, meals, and medication assistance in a supportive family-like environment.

Candidates should be prepared for weekend and holiday shifts, have a high school diploma or CNA training, and be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. The team offers growth opportunities and a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be willing to continuously learn.
• Frequent lifting and moving; able to lift, move and transfer 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility to doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.

Job Description

Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

Department: Memory Care

Hours: 5:45am-6:15pm (12- hour shifts, 2 days during the week, with every other weekend included)

Pay Rate: $15.50

This position requires you to work weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Assist with physical therapy exercises
• Complete client’s shopping or accompanies them to do so successfully
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, & transfer 100lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
