Job summary

SILVER CARE INC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under supervision of LVN/RN in a congregate living health facility in Los Angeles, CA. The CNA will assist with ADLs, monitor residents, and help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with feeding, hydration, and meal assistance as needed.
• Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and ambulating residents using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises and restorative care programs.
• Ensure residents' rooms and equipment are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests.
• Support residents' dignity, privacy, and rights at all times.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings as assigned.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed.

The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors patient conditions, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and transferring of residents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier transfers using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Work Environment

Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) serving residents with complex medical needs, including ventilator-dependent individuals, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, and other chronic conditions.

Exposure to medical equipment, bodily fluids, and infectious materials in accordance with OSHA and facility safety guidelines.
