Job summary

Green Hills Health Care Center in Ames, IA is seeking a hospitality-minded Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our growing team on the Part-Time 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm). CNA duties include charting, resident care under RN/LPN, and contributing to a warm, hospitality-focused environment.

Starting wage is $20.00-$21.00 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential for evenings. We value confidentiality, safety, and person-directed care, and offer scholarships, rewards points, and a range of benefits

Qualifications

• Must obtain CNA licensure per Department guidelines.
• Maintain a valid Direct Care Worker Registry registration.
• Ability to assist residents in emergencies, including evacuation procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document nursing care after assisting a resident, in accordance with community and regulatory standards.
• Timely report any changes in resident condition to the RN/LPN on duty.
• Perform and chart Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as per each resident’s care plan.
• Treat each resident with respect and individualized care.
• Assist residents with nutrition and hydration, monitoring intake and assisting with dining as needed.
• Keep resident rooms clean and organized.
• Commit to the Person-Directed Care philosophy.

CNA's perform appropriate charting on each resident to maintain a continuum of care as well as follow safety procedures and inform the charge nurse of all relevant resident information.
