Job summary

Radford Green at Sedgebrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide direct nursing care to residents. The role includes delegating and supervising care by Quality of Life Specialists/Resident Assistants in a private-room environment with tenure staff.

Shifts are 12 hours (6:30AM–7:00PM or 7:00PM–7:30AM) with $1.50 shift differential after 3PM. Starting pay is $20–$26/hour based on experience, and the facility is highly rated nationwide.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Illinois State approved nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registration with Illinois State registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.

Essential Job Duties

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as need.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
