Job summary

Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire, IL is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide direct nursing care and supervise care staff. This PRN, non-exempt role offers 12-hour shifts (6:30AM–7:00PM and 7:00PM–7:30AM) with day and night availability.

The position pays $20–$26 per hour depending on experience, plus a $1.50 shift differential after 3PM. Registered CNAs with Illinois certification are required, and prior geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Illinois State approved nursing assistant training program completed.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
• Registration with Illinois State registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and document care.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as need.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
