Job summary

Highland Health & Rehabilitation in Bellingham, WA is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our 44-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You’ll assist residents with daily living activities, support mobility, meals, and hydration, and document care with accuracy.

We offer competitive pay ($24–$28/hour DOE), paid vacation and sick time after introductory period, and opportunities for growth in a supportive, respectful environment.

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification in the State of Washington required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • 6–12 months experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting.
  • Support mobility, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and ROM exercises.
  • Assist with meals and hydration.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and resident information.
  • Document care and resident activities accurately.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.
  • Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
  • Help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents and families.

What You'll be doing

As a CNA at Highland, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with dignity, compassion, and personalized care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting

  • Assisting with meals and hydration
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and resident information
  • Documenting care and resident activities accurately
  • Responding promptly to resident needs and call lights
  • Collaborating with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, person-centered care
  • Helping create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and families

Qualifications

NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
