Job summary

Altea Healthcare is seeking a Certified NP to join our post-acute care team in Michigan. This part-time weekend role offers training, mentorship, and strong compensation.

You will perform exams, diagnose and manage conditions, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to guide patients toward better health. Flexible scheduling supports work-life balance for experienced providers and new grads alike.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP with DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
• Willingness to train and mentor new grads

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review patient histories
• Order and interpret labs and imaging
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribe medications and create treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and facility staff
• Educate patients and families on care and prevention
• Document care accurately and efficiently

What You’ll Do:

As a Certified NP, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
