The Certified Nurse Midwife, Per Diem will:
Saint Peter’s University Hospital is looking to hire afull-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for its growing midwifery practice.This position is ideal for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking toparticipate in a team-based model and values a variety of responsibilities.Examples of typical responsibilities include:
• Caring for intrapartum patients at the free-standing MaryV. O’Shea Birth Center on campus and/or Labor and Delivery.
• Managing the care and giving direct client services forprivate birth center patients as well as a panel of midwifery patients at theFamily Health Center.
• Being actively engaged in the hospital for triage andcoverage of labor and delivery as needed.
• Providing education and expertise regarding meaningfulpositioning and physiologic birth.
• Maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship withcolleagues, including attendings and residents.
Our Birth Center is equipped with tubs for hydrotherapy,intermittent auscultation, various tools for comfort measures, and supportivecollaborative physician backup. The hospital rooms are also equipped withwireless monitoring for freedom of movement.
The position is flexible but will entail a combination ofday/night/weekend/holiday call and office hours. All shifts are in-house andinclude a 24-hour call and two office days. This may be adjusted depending onthe needs of the team. Experience is preferred but not required. First Assistand Limited Ultrasonography experience preferred but not required, will offeron-site training.
Requirements:
Schedule: Part Time, 48 hours per 2 weeks
Salary Range:80.00 - 80.00 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
