Opportunity Details - Certified Nurse Midwife for Hospital OB/ED Triage

Job Description

We are seeking flexible, energetic, and highly motivated Certified Nurse Midwives with strong relationship-building and clinical skills to provide quality care in a hospital OB/ED triage setting. The principal responsibilities include inpatient triage, working collaboratively with RNs and OB/GYN practices, managing approximately 275 deliveries per month, and providing emergency surgical assistance as needed. There are also opportunities to cover deliveries.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Norfolk, VA
• Facility: Sentara Leigh Hospital, handling approximately 3,400 patients annually in a high-volume OB-ED triage
• Team: Experienced team of 7 CNMs
• Responsibilities: Triage and medical management of pregnant patients at 20 weeks or more, emergency surgical assistance, and potential delivery coverage
• Schedule: Flexible, with open options for 0.6 - 0.9 FTE
