Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Certified Nurse-Midwife to provide medical care to obstetrical patients during pregnancy and normal delivery, and to care for women across the lifespan in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role is based in BMC-Brighton, Womens Health, with a part-time, per diem schedule.

Responsibilities include outpatient gynecology, labor and delivery support, education for patients, and collaboration with obstetricians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nurse Midwifery.
• Post-baccalaureate certificate in Nurse Midwifery.
• Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient: conducts annual gynecologic exams, provides contraception education, and performs IUD insertions/removals and related procedures.
• Inpatient: manages labor/delivery, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care; assists in cesarean delivery and GYN procedures as needed.
• Teaches and precepts students; participates in QA; collaborates with obstetric teams and supports patient education.
