Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role supports pregnant patients with routine and high-risk care, and includes labor and delivery alongside education for patients and families.

The position is part-time, per diem, located at the BMC-Brighton Women’s Health department, with responsibilities spanning pre-natal to post-partum care and patient education delivered by an experienced CNM team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nurse Midwifery required.
• Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery preferred.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing as RN in MA.
• Active MA midwifery license; Post-baccalaureate certificate in Nurse Midwifery.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient: annual gynecologic exams, contraception education, and IUD counseling; endometrial biopsy and vulvar procedures; manage pelvic organ prolapse and care during pregnancy.
• Inpatient: monitor pregnancy, manage labor and postpartum care, assist delivery, fetal monitoring, and post-delivery assessment.
• Teaches students and participates in QA; other duties as assigned.
