Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Midwifery required.
• BLS Certification, Certified Nurse Midwife, Maryland CDS license, and DEA license required.
• 2-4 years of Midwifery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with physician partners.
• Manage complex care of prenatal, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Monitor and report on patient progress and discharge planning.

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive patient care to patients in collaboration with physician partners, managing the complex care of the prenatal, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient. This includes admission, monitoring and reporting on patient progress and discharge planning and follow through.

Join a group of 13 Certified Nurse Midwives who provide comprehensive and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Education

• Master’s Degree- Midwifery (Required)

Certification / Licensure / Registration

• BLS Certification (Required)
• Certified Nurse Midwife (Required)
• Maryland CDS license (Required)
• Maryland State DEA license (Required)
• Registered Nurse Certified (Required)
• First Assist Certification (Required within 6 months of hire)

Experience and Skills

• 2 - 4 years Midwifery experience (Preferred)
• 0 - 1 year Ability to scrub as a first assistant on Cesarean sections (Preferred)
• 0 - 1 year Proven skills in third trimester ultrasound (Preferred)
• Required Skills: Strong Verbal Communications Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Basic Computer Skills, Strong Customer Services Skills, Proven Analytical Skill
