St. Elizabeth HealthCare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for our Urology Unit located within the Edgewood Hospital.

Shift/Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week. Scheduled hours are 3:00PM to 11:30PM. Primary staffing needs are Sunday through Thursday, with participation in a holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of employment.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of applicable state CNA courses and exam.
• Not listed on the applicable State Abuse Registry.
• Must have CPR for the professional rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides patients personal care and comfort.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for an assigned patient group.

Job Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN:

• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Provides patients personal care and comfort
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients

Qualifications

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• Certified in the state where work is being performed as Certified Nurse Assistant
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of applicable state courses.
• Successful completion of Certified Nurse Assistant exam required for certification.
• Not listed on the applicable State Abuse Registry
• Must have CPR for the professional rescuer

Specialized Knowledge:

• Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
