Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join the care team in a fast‑paced hospital environment. You will work alongside Registered Nurses to provide safe, comfortable, hands‑on patient care throughout hospital stays.

As part of the MedSurg on the 5th floor, you’ll support patient comfort, assist with hygiene, mobility, documentation of vitals, and collaboration with the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in South Carolina.
• BLS certification with the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Help ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Change bed linens and maintain a clean, organized patient space.
• Assist with transporting patients to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect meal trays and provide between‑meal nourishment.
• Record temperature and vital signs as directed by nursing staff.
• Support the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities.

Job Description
