Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support clinical teams and provide hands-on patient care across all populations.

You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and monitoring vital signs, while maintaining a safe, infection-controlled environment. AHA BLS recent certification and state-required trainings are needed. This is a part-time, on-site role at Valley Presbyterian Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA BLS certification.
• LA City Fire Card certification within 30 days of employment.
• MOAB training within 30 days of employment.
• One year of acute patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and transportation.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other delegated tasks.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
• Keep call lights within reach and pathways clear for patient safety.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and culturally sensitive care.
• Assist with specimen transport as needed.
• Participate in quality initiatives such as hourly rounding and turning programs.
